Elementalist Armour Hidden Stats? - Guild Wars Forums

I read somewhere that the elementalist armour that have a bonus against a certain element also have a disadvantage against the opposite element. For example, Hydromancer Armour having +5 vs cold, but also having -5 vs fire.
I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing, but I think if this is the case, it should be shown in the stats of the armour. Currently it only shows the positive bit.
Or maybe what I read was wrong and there is no negative. Anyone know?
